Ersbane is a text-based world simulation, along the lines of MUDs and Interactive Fiction. There is no objective – simply explore and have fun. To start without signing in, simply try it as a guest.

History

Ersbane follows a succession of text-based simulacra from the mid-1970s known as MUDs.

Written over decades in various languages for platforms ranging from mainframes to phones, many such sites still exist, or have been inspired or written anew.

Ersbane has been developed from scratch, with emphasis on browser and touch screen support.
